U14 Prem Western Premier
Our U14 boys had a tall order after a successful debut season being crowned South 1 Champions; the boys would face a real test amongst the best competition. After a slow start, the boys picked up momentum closing out their season on a 3 game win streak. The future is bright for the young squad as they prepare for a rigorous off season.
U16 Black South 1 Conference
A group consisting of most of the title winning U14 squad had a great introduction to U16 basketball. A few complementary pieces added to the puzzle worked wonders as the came out the blocks hot starting the season on a 16-0 win streak. The back end of the season proved to be the real challenge as a 2 game skid meant an already exciting fixture against Oxford became a must win. The boys came out on top ensuring they were crowned South 1 champions with an impressive 18-2 record. The promotional playoffs would await the squad where they were pushed to their limits against a persistent Vale Vipers squad. A 49-45 victory meant they would make the long trip down to Somerset. Unfortunately the boys would fall short at the last hurdle losing 69-59 but the season is by no means a failure, the boys really showed what hard work and consistency can achieve.
U16 Gold South 2 Conference
Going into this season, there were high expectations for this squad. With a few players featuring in our US tour, many anticipated a statement season and that is exactly what they did. This squad continued to elevate with each game winning many games by a point differential of over 100 points. Not only did they dominate their league but they picked up impressive wins against Premier oppositions Solent Kestrels and Richmond Knights. As flawless of a season as you can get, a 19-1* record (*logistical forfeit) ensured a number 1 seed to enter the promotional playoffs. U16 Gold would finish the season how they started defeating Harris Knights by 30 points followed by a 22 point road win at Prem side Kent Crusaders ensuring their place in Prem next season. This young core will be dangerous for years to come
U18 Mens South 1 Conference
This squad are the definition of resilience and character. A 1-3 start in a competitive South 1 conference would mean that a promotional playoff spot would be all but impossible. The boys didn’t lose hope, a no excuse attitude and major accountability led the team to an incredible 18 game win streak to close out the season. The last round of the playoffs ended 72-49 in True Vision Elite’s favour would mean that our U18 squad booked their ticket in Premier for next season.
